CdS - The Casa della Salute model: architecture and health promotion

The research explores the potential of the Casa della Salute model in Tuscany, which is similar to a primary healthcare facility. In light of the path taken by the Tuscany Region from 2007 until the last L.R. 29/2019 “The Casa della Salute. Amendments to the law 40/2005”, and of the 71 Casa della Salute experiences carried out in the Tuscan territory, the study aims to investigate the architectural, functional and organizational characteristics of the model. Topics of interest are: the flexibility of the model and the differences between the rural and urban context, the contribution of the architectural environment to promoting health, the nature of a 'multipurpose facility' (LR 29/2019), welcome and waiting spaces for a territorial health model, the outdoor spaces and the relationship with the public spaces of the city, the activities and spaces for the enhancement of the local community. |
