Maria Grazia graduated in Architecture with honors at the University of Florence, with a thesis re: integrated (energy and seismic) recovery of the historic center of Salemi, hit by the Belice earthquake.
In 2011 she obtained a Master's Degree in Bio-ecological Architecture and Sustainable Technologies for the Environment at La Sapienza, University of Rome. In 2014 she obtained the Ph.D. in Architecture at the DiDA department of the University of Florence with a thesis entitled "A synthesis tool for the evaluation of seismic vulnerabilities and energy consumption to support the planning of interventions for Existing School Building".
From January 2011 to December 2012, as research grant holder, she deals with the project financed by the Tuscany Region in the scope of the POR CREO FESR 2008-2013 entitled "Abitare Mediterraneo, Sustainable Innovation of Mediterranean Living", focusing in particular on the “Analysis of strategies, definition, verification and validation of the criteria for integrating technological and architectural innovation for the development of an open system”.
Since 2015 she has been research fellow at the TESIS Research Center at the University of Florence, in particular for health and social housing and for monitoring interventions for housing and residences for university students, object of Ministerial co-financing according to the Law 383/2000.
Tutor at the DiDA department for the Project Management course since 2016, for the Specialization Course of Documentation and Management of Cultural Heritage, for the "Sustainability" module of interventions in cultural heritage. She also participated as speaker at international conferences in particular in Manila - Philippines, for the "Hospital Management Asia 2017" congress, organized by Hospital Management Asia (HMA) and in Durban, South Africa, for the "Addressing the Challenge" conference of Patient-centered Care and Safety 2016 "organized by the International Hospital Federation (IHF).
