IME 2019 Built Environment Award

The Birth Environment Research Group of TESIS won the Build Environment Award at the International Maternity Expo 2019 in London.
An important award at an international event, in which the jury recognized the value of interdisciplinary research and consultancy work carried out for years by the TESIS Center on the subject of maternity spaces.
Specifically, the words of the jury:

"Build environment award: for enhancing physical space and environment of maternity care buildings and settings, to improve outcomes and experiences for maternity care staff and users. Physical space can be a key factor in a womans' experience of childbirth. In nominating the winner of 2019 IME build environment award what moved the judges eyes was the collaborative working of architects, midwives, clinicians and environmental psychologists on the projects and the conclusion that maternity architecture cannot be associated to general hospital design."

The ceremony of the award took place in London on November 12th at the International Maternity Expo Awards evening.

The Birth Environment Researche Group is composed by Nicoletta Setola, Eletta Naldi, Alessia Macchi together with Grazia Cocina of the Polytechnic of Turin.
